The Canadian Brewhouse (Edmonton Ellerslie)

It offers healthy food options and typical pub fare. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports and plenty of booth seating for couples and friends to have some privacy. Prices are reasonable too

Awful! Went with 2 colleagues for tomahawk steak night on Sat Nov 23, 2024, to celebrate a retirement. Sounded amazing and we bought tickets online a week earlier, we were excited. When we arrived we were promptly given 3 tickets & seated next to the kitchen by the stairs. Asked for 2 steaks medium & one rare. One steak was amazing (although missing garlic bread). The other 2 were raw, not even blue rare & cold. My colleague sent his back right away. I waited until I cut into it and saw how rare (raw) & fatty it was before sending mine back. My colleague&apos;s steak came back 10 minutes later and was the same steak just thrown on the grill, I had thought it was against the health code to throw a piece of meat that already been served (Biten into) back on the grill. Anyway, he was still unhappy as now overcooked & fatty. We asked to speak to the manager, and she said they were sold out of the Tomahawk steaks (we were there at 5:15) & best she could do is offer a regular steak (She was very abrupt and not very helpful or apologetic). My colleague was not happy and said he had lost his appetite, a few minutes later she came by and threw a gift card for $50 (tix were $55) on the table & said she "couldn&apos;t refund tickets, so here" and walked away. We felt bad for the young woman serving us as she knew we were unhappy but unfortunately she sheepishly rarely returned to see if we needed anything (She seemed embarrassed). My steak came out after another 15 minutes & was very well done. After the experience with the manager, I decided to live with it as I knew nothing would be done. What really annoyed us was that the gift card didn&apos;t even cover the price of the ticket & the manager still charged for his 2 beers, 2 of us ate at separate times and one didn&apos;t eat at all, we didn&apos;t really get an apology. For the most part, we felt like we were a pain for them to serve as we prepaid. If they don&apos;t want to do a steak night don&apos;t. We are all upset we paid keg prices for McDonald&apos;s ser

Food was great and the service was great.  I enjoyed the variety of beer.  My wife enjoyed her main dish and we did try some appetizers.   All in all very good.  

Brewhouse

This situation took place at the new Canadian Brewhouse downtown in Ice district but the policy seems to be company wide and management has given me no clarification:   The Canadian brewhouse does not honor their specials during NHL playoffs. They continue to advertise their specials to bring you into the bar and then they surprise you with a full price bill. The servers don&apos;t mention the specials aren&apos;t offered but they gladly take your orders and offer "We don&apos;t have specials during nhl playoffs" when you ask about the bill. It&apos;s wing Wednesday...maybe you should mention that ahead of time?   The response from the brewhouse on Facebook was:   Hey , unfortunately on game days, we have to adjust our specials to fit demand, we apologize for the inconvenience!  The bar was half empty so this theory is wrong. It&apos;s nothing but a cash grab policy because they expect people to watch the game ant the bar already and why offer specials. This is fine if you don&apos;t advertise specials and tell people before they order. I won&apos;t be retuning to the Canadian Brewhouse.   There are many other sports bars that offer specials on food and drinks all year, even when the playoffs for any sport are going on. I recommend going there

Remove specials for playoffs and don’t tell anyone

The service at this Ellerslie location Edmonton was excellent. Shout out to our Amazing server Anna. She was very friendly and courteous. She deserves the 5 stars just got her service.

2023 Superbowl

Typical pub food. Food was not unique in any way. Poutine is flavourless. Chicken wings were edible, which is the best I can say about this place.

You can also eat very authentic sushi here, very good

Their products are very delicate and beautiful. It feels like one person needs two or three people to finish it, so the price-performance ratio is not very high. However, the color of the sweet orange is very bright and tempting, which makes people&#39;s appetite grow.
